Indiana

“It behooves every man who values liberty of conscience for himself, to resist invasions of it in the case of others.” -Thomas Jefferson Been There, Done That Had That Done to Me Amidst all of today’s clamor over discrimination based on religious or moral standards, I’m remembering an incident when I was on the receiving end of it myself. We Who Are Seen

Jesus hand

“And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, “Thou God seest me” For she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?” - Genesis 16:13 Hagar isn’t the most sympathetic of Bible characters. Stronger because my resistance abilities grew; humbler because my reliance on Him becomes clearer than Continue Reading

The Angry Wife

conflict

It seems nothing works with her. A kind word is met with a rebuff. Touching and lovemaking are out of the question. Any little thing (or nothing at all) seems to set her off, and she’s willing to shout, accuse or cut down at a moment’s notice. She’s an angry wife, and she’s not alone. Plenty of marriages are falling apart, largely because of a husband’s sin, a wife’s ongoing anger over the sin, and the couple’s inability to deal with the fallout. What to do? In fairness, let’s first admit that some men and women are simply angry people. Continue Reading
